Terms of service
The shape of the agreement between an operator and us. It describes what we charge, what we owe you, and how either side ends it.
What this covers
An account, the readers on it, the connectivity that carries their traffic, and the money that moves as a result. Signing up creates the account; placing an order buys or finances hardware.
Fees
Every rate is published on the pricing page and in the fee schedule. There is no quote and no negotiated rate hidden behind a form: the rates you see are the rates you get.
No price is written into this document, deliberately. A rate copied into a contract is a rate that goes stale where it is hardest to correct. The fee schedule is the reference and is versioned.
The term
Month to month. There is no minimum term and no early termination charge for the service itself. Hardware bought outright is yours; hardware being paid off is subject to its own agreement.
Money we hold and money we move
Card takings are settled to you on the published cadence. Cash and coins never pass through us at all.
Where you have agreed a share with a venue owner, that share is taken after our fee and before your net, and both sides can see the same figures.
Refunds and chargebacks
A refund is issued in full and never in part, and is recorded against the original sale rather than replacing it. A sale that has been charged back cannot also be refunded.
What a reader can and cannot tell you
Readers connect to machines in two ways and the difference decides disputes. One is one-way: the reader can take a payment and cannot confirm the machine delivered. The other is two-way and can. Which one a machine uses is recorded and is visible to you.
Uptime and support
No uptime figure is stated in this draft, because committing to one is a decision with a number attached and neither has been made. Support hours and routes are on the support page.
Ending it
You can stop at any time. Readers can be put on hold rather than cancelled, which keeps their settings and their history and costs less than a live reader. Deactivating a reader's SIM is permanent and the product says so before you do it.
Changes to these terms
A change that affects what you pay or what you are owed is not applied silently. The mechanism for accepting a change, and what happens while it is unaccepted, is part of what counsel will settle.
